The 29th conference of young Slavists took place virtually and was hosted by the Department of Slavic Studies / Lotman Institute at Ruhr University Bochum. The conference addressed various topics and methods of Slavic linguistics, including morphology, syntax, written and contact linguistic issues, discourse and linguistic landscapes research. Presentations were given on topics such as language investigations in the context of dementia and multilingualism, the pragmatics of subordination principles in the Ukrainian Bible, morphological aspect formation in Russian, and the etymology of some Slavic inflectional forms. An interdisciplinary project on the research of settlement and cultural history of early medieval contact zones between Slavs and other peoples was also presented.
