- Abstract
A literary critisicm is presented of D.H. Lawrence's book "The Plumed Serpent" with reference to the theme of Messianism and the abject in the book. Topics discussed include Lawrence inspired by Kabbalah due to which it is documented in his writings, the complex relationship of mysticism and magic in the book, and the double role of femininity portrayed in the book as the fullness of presence as well as weak.
