- Title
The celebrated Maroochy Water Attack.
- Abstract
The article presents information on the Maroochy Shire water attack in Queensland Australia. The Maroochy Shire Council's sewage control system was attacked by hackers in 2000 and resulted in substantial environmental damage. The troubles began after installation and included not running of pumps, alarms were not being reported to the control centre, and there was a loss of communications between the control centre and the pumping stations. These provided the evidence that some outside agents are interfering with the system.
