Examines the effects of the 1982 Modification of the Final Judgment (MFJ) in the AT&T Corp. antitrust settlement case on competition in long-distance and telecommunications equipment markets in the United States. Evaluation of competition in the remaining markets reserved for AT&T where Bell operating companies are banned; Suggestion that removal of MFJ restrictions would be pro-competition.
