- Abstract
Hot water heat storage technology is an important means to solve the problem of thermoelectric coupling and improve the capacity of thermoelectric system and power grid to absorb renewable energy. The effects of the diameter, height and thickness of the baffle plate of water tank on thermal stratification characteristics are studied by numerical simulation method. Based on Richardson number, stratification number, exergy efficiency and other performance indexes, the influence rules of different baffle plate design sizes on temperature stratification are obtained, and the structural optimization design method of baffle plate is proposed. The results show that the baffle plate can inhibit the mixing degree of hot and cold water and improve the temperature stratification in the water tank, which is closely related to the flow parameters and temperature of the fluid. When the height, diameter and thickness of the baffle plate are 19. 275 m, 10 m and 0. 3 m respectively, it can provide the best thermal stratification characteristics.
