- Abstract
The article describes the role of fermenters in biotechnological production. Fermenters are specialized containers in which microorganisms are cultivated under controlled conditions to produce biochemical products such as enzymes, antibiotics, biofuels, or food additives. Modern fermenters are equipped with advanced sensors and automation technology to ensure precise control and monitoring of the processes. In addition, there are systems for raw material handling, sterile cultivation and dosing, as well as stirring and aeration options. The downstream equipment allows for adaptation to different production volumes.
