The article talks about the war between Lacedaemonia and the ancient city of Elis and the alliances formed during the war in 402-400 Before Christ (BC) in Greece. Topics discussed include the confusion regarding the reasons for the war including imperialism, revenge and political propaganda; the alliance between Aetolia, Greece and Elis in the war; and the alliance between Sparta, capital of Lacedaemonia, and Achaea.
