- Authors
Larosiere, Matthew; Greenleez, Joseph G. S.
- Abstract
The article analyzes red flag laws that allow the confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to possess arms without due process in the U.S. Topics discussed include the brief history of red flag laws adopted first by Connecticut in 1999, general procedure for red flag petitions and hearings such as the person qualified to bring the petition and issuance of an order, and the lack of conclusive evidence on the efficacy of the laws to prevent violence.
