- Abstract
The article presents two case studies demonstrating acquired von Willebrand syndrome in paediatric patients with congenital heart disease. The first case involves a nine-year-old Caucasian male who was referred to a bleeding disorder's clinic due to recurrent epistaxis and easy bruising. He had a history of endocarditis and concomitant aortic valve regurgitation. The second case involves a Caucasian male with un-operated moderate aortic valve stenosis and regurgitation referred for epistaxis.
