- Abstract
The article discusses the effects of interchangeable methods in longitudinal multilevel confirrmatory factor analysis (CFA)-multitrait-multimethod (MTMM) model. Topics discussed include violation of model in terms of complex hierarchical data structures, rater-specific method effects and random effects of raters. It also reveals how violations of pure hierarchical data structures in multilevel specification can lead to biases in variance proportions.
