The article discusses the theme of apocalypse in the poem "The Waste Land," by T.S. Eliot. Topics addressed include the poem's criticism of the contemporary world at the beginning of the 20th century, the forms of the poem's confession and its literary revision, and forms of the poem's modernism. Further comments are given on the determination of whether Eliot retained imperialism in his art.
