The article examines the "Remain in Mexico" policy, also known as the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), which requires asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their cases are processed in the United States. It discusses the criticisms of the policy, including concerns about dangerous conditions and limited legal protections for asylum seekers. The article also explores the constitutional implications of the policy and the need for a fair and effective approach to address the immigration crisis. It concludes with recommendations to protect the rights of those seeking refuge.
