- Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to review about the energy efficiency towards carbon dioxide emission in Malaysia Design/methodology/approach: This study is focus on the conceptual discussion on carbon dioxide emission towards energy efficiency in Malaysia. Findings: Empirically it was reviewed and critically discussed that the carbon dioxide emission and energy efficiency theoretically have a relationship. Energy efficiency is fundamental to making sure a secure, reliable, affordable and sustainable energy system for the future. It is the only energy resource that each country possesses in abundance and is the fastest and least costly way of addressing energy security, environmental and economic challenges. There need to be a lower in CO2 emissions with improved technology, energy efficiency and fuel of CO2 emissions. Research limitations/implications: It is focusing on energy efficiency and carbon dioxide emission issues and problems faced in Malaysia. Practical implications: It can contribute towards the efficiency of energy management and consumption. Originality/value : The first phase of the study is the exploratory study which it will discuss on the overview of the dependent variables and independent variable, issues and problems faced by the country and energy sector.
