- Abstract
The article focuses on the characterization of ergodicity of p-adic Dynamical Systems by utilizing the van der Put basis. It discusses the applications in mathematical physics with their foundations accounted in psychology, in several domains of computer science, and in genetics. It notes that the van der Put basis is associated to the zero-dimensional topology of the algebraic structure of p-adic fields, since it comprises of characteristic functions of p-adic balls. It finds numerous results for p-adic maps that offer the opportunity to describe their significant properties, including the ergodicity and the preservation of the Haar measure.
