- Abstract
The article offers information on the efforts of Tunisia's Islamist party Ennahdha to secure the gains of the 2011 Arab Uprising and adapt itself to secular democracy. Topics discussed include effort to move from a secret Islamic movement to a party to represent all Tunisians; views of Fabio Merone, scholar of political Islam at Ghent University, on the need for acceptance by secularists and the Islamists; and efforts by President Beji Caid Essebsi to grant women equal rights to men.
