It explores the history of Oregon country, starting from the arrival of the fur traders and the explorers until the opening of the Eastern Washington and Oregon to the whites. It also mentions the building of the Fort Walla Walla by the U.S. Army, which is a chain of stores and the discovery of gold in the place. Furthermore, it also provides an overview of the fast economic progress of the town.
