- Abstract
The article presents information related to lead poisoning in livestock. As reported, lead is a common cause of poisoning of domestic animals because it is spread widely throughout the environment. Lead is stated to be easily available for livestock in rubbish dumps and around farm buildings. The sources of lead include paint, linoleum and contaminated foliage growing near smelters or along roadsides. Several steps are taken to reduce the incidence of lead poisoning in livestock.
