- Abstract
The article discusses the September 20, 2014, opening of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) in Winnipeg, Manitoba. According to the article, Canadian media mogul Israel Asper conceived the notion of a human rights museum in 2000 and his family continued the goal following Asper's 2003 death. The article discusses possible revenue that the CMHR will generate, a boycott of the museum by the group the Manitoba Metis Federation, and information concerning admission prices.
