- Abstract
May-Thurner syndrome refers to compression of the left common iliac vein, between the right common iliac artery and the vertebral body. It carries risks of venous hyperplasia and thrombosis. This entity is extremely rare in the pediatric patients. We report the case of a 24-month-old child in whom left lower extremity swelling, led to the diagnosis of May-Thurner syndrome. We present a literature reviewof therapeutic strategies for this infrequent condition.
