- Abstract
The article focuses on the hypothesis that host genetic factors might predispose an individual to developing bovine digital dermatitis (BDD). The authors mention the study they conducted which uses a panel of well-phenotyped Holstein cattle and genome screening with single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) microarrays, and targeted SNP genotyping. They state that the study presents a pipeline for larger future BDD genetic studies when reducing costs of genome-wide typing and sequencing.
