- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the modulation of acute vocal fold inflammatory and profibrotic signaling by the prophylactic triamcinolone during acute phonotrauma. Rabbits were taken as control animal and they were given intralaryngeal triamcinolone acetonide injection followed byraised intensity phonation and steroid treatment. It also informs that corticosteroids and triamcinolone acetonide are used for the treatment of hypertrophic scar and keloids.
