- Abstract
Objective: To present a case with complaints of leg weakness, numbness and tingling on anterior-interior side of the thigh after applied arthroscopic intervention to the right knee. Case report: The patient who had undergone meniscectomy as arthroscopic after trauma of right knee had complaints of the same leg of weakness and numbness. So, electromyographic examination of the patient was revealed severe femoral injury and pneumatic tourniquet applied during operation was connected to the reason. The patient' follow-up was not improvement of the physical examination and electromyographic examination. The patient was prescribed walking to help by knee pad with providing knee lock. Conclusion: Pneumatic tourniquet applied to the surgical procedures for lower extremity may occur injury of the femoral nerve. Therefore, you must be careful in the use of tourniquet.
