- Abstract
The article discusses the guarantee of freedom of association under Section 2(d) of the Canadian Chart of Rights and Freedoms as of April 2013, focusing on an analysis of the rights of workers in regards to collective representations, Ontario's Labour Relations Act, and the role of the U.S. Wagner Act as a model for Canadian legislation. Employer obligations are addressed in relation to an employee's association rights. A reported decline in majority trade unionism in Canada is examined.
