- Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the impact of the self-efficacy perceptions of tourist guide candidates on their job attitudes. In the study, a theoretical framework was created by searching the domestic and foreign literature. Survey technique was used as data collection method from the application phase. The population of the study constitues the students of the tourism guidance department studying at Tourism Faculty of Afyon Kocatepe University. Research data were collected online between 01-31 December 2019. In this context, 342 questionnaires were reached. However, due to the incorrect entry of 27 questionnaires, these questionnaires were excluded from the analysis and 315 questionnaires were evaluated. The relationship between self-efficacy and job attitude is correlation analysis and the effect of self-efficacy on job attitude is given by regression analysis. As a result of the research, it has been revealed that the self-efficacy and job attitudes of the tourist guide candidates are slightly above the middle level. In addition, a moderate and significant relationship was found between self-efficacy and job attitude. As a result of the research, it was found that there is a significant and positive relationship between the self-efficacy perceptions of tourist guide candidates on their job attitudes.
