- Abstract
The article reports the formation of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) coronas on silica nanoparticles (NPs), which may occur by adsorption of intact HDL particulates on the NPs. Findings reveal that the formation of HDL coronas is apparently HDL concentration-dependent, leading to well-defined adsorption layers, suggesting that HDL coronas are formed by the adsorption of intact HDL particulates without disintegration.
