An essay on Mexican women artists is presented. It discusses the importance of examining their work as a whole rather than as individual artists. The portrayal of the social conditions for women in their art is explored and the masculine-dominated society is described. The artists Olga Costa, María Izquierdo, Rosa Rolando, and Frida Kahlo are mentioned and various pieces of art are analyzed.
