- Abstract
The article discusses the research on Ninety east Ridge, seamount chain in the Indian Ocean, led by the Indian Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR)-British National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) in collaboration with several research institutes including Yuzhmorgeologia, Galendzhik, Russia in last two decades since 2014. It revealed the Indian and Australian plates geometry from the Late Cretaceous to the Early Cenozoic period and the behaviour of the Pacific Ocean hot spots.
