- Title
Boccaccio's Miraculous Art of Storytelling: Dec. I.1, II.1 and VI.10.
- Authors
Ciabattoni, Francesco
- Abstract
The article features the unification patterns in "Decameron's" tales about miracles by Giovanni Boccaccio. It notes that organized complex forms connect the single texts in the Decameron system providing mutual validation between brigade members. It points out that the shift from anticipated extraordinariness to what is apparent is considered as the mark of Fra Cipolla's oration. Moreover, word power in shaping reality was stressed in the tales which makes storytelling a healthy practice.
