- Abstract
The article presents the impact of historical trauma on Indigenous motherhood. Topics include living the values in the effort for building children into being good relatives; colonization and settlers, boarding school, loss of parenting and languages, forced sterilization, and loss of community; and permeating systematic structures and ways of living daily such as the notion and value of individualism and capitalism.
