The article discusses the legislative processes for publication of James Joyce's copyrighted writings in the U.S. even without the authorization of the copyright owner. The public operations of Joyce's copyrighted works were allowed since it follow the U.S. Copyright Act which states that unauthorized performances are permitted as long as it used for noncommercial or nonprofit purposes.
