- Abstract
The article informs that three judge panel of the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has ruled that the U.S. Interior Department is not obligated to update its 1979 review of the environmental impact of the federal coal program, despite scientific findings on climate change and role of coal in atmosphere warming. It is noted that judges revealed that the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) does not want to imply new environmental impact statement.
