- Abstract
The article reports on the study by economist Ernst Fehr of the University of Zurich in Switzerland on the effect of testosterone on social behavior. Fehr and colleagues gave a group of women a testosterone pill and another a placebo and observed their behavior while playing a game. It shows that the negative perception of testosterone as a substance linked to aggression may have affected women's behaviour in a negatively, although the hormone had a positive effect on social interactions.
