- Title
British government to demand clinical trial data.
- Abstract
The article reports on the promise made by the British government that it would strengthen laws to prevent drug companies from withholding data from clinical trials. Dawn Primarolo, minister of public health in the country, asserts that the European and British regulations should improve the timely disclosure of any data applicable to assessing the danger of drugs. Moreover, Primarolo adds that the government must execute punishments for non-complying party. Meanwhile, regulators have investigated the claim that GlaxoSmithKline has failed to provide information related to suicidal danger of its anti-depressant Seroxat for children.
