- Abstract
The influence of UV-Vis and monochromatic radiation (λ = 408 nm) on the reactions of copper sulfate (CuSO4) and copper(II) oxide (CuO) with β-diketones, chelators, and dicarboxylic acids was studied. The reactions of CuSO4 and CuO with Trilon B and succinic acid in aqueous media in the presence of urea occurred faster by using UV-Vis radiation. UV radiation accelerated the reaction of CuSO4 with H4edta in aqueous MeCN. Monochromatic radiation hastened the reaction of CuO with Trilon B and H4edta in aqueous and MeCN media. Eight reactions that were significantly accelerated by electromagnetic radiation were found.
