- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on the remotely operated vehicle (ROV) ocean sediment sampler developed by Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC). It mentions that ROV, which was the response of JAMSTEC for the lack of a vehicle that entails full-depth capability to take sediment samples in 2005, has able to isolate bacteria and amphipods in the Challenger Deep of the Mariana Trench. ROV comprises sampling launcher with water and sediment sampler and a pre-observation probe vehicle.
