- Abstract
【Objective】The aim of this study was to establish a synthetic evaluation system of azaleas on landscape application, and offer a scientific support on the extensive application of azaleas.【Method】The synthetic evaluation system was established by using analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to calculate the comprehensive evaluation value of the selected 83 azaleas and applying K-means clustering method to differentiate their classification. The comprehensive evaluation system on its landscape application was established.【Result】Fourteen evaluating factors were selected which were closely related to flower ornamental value,overall appreciation and adaptability,and the evaluation criterion of each factors was also determined. In addition,based on the value of comprehensive evaluation and clustering center,the 83 azaleas were classified into three grades,namely excellent,good and general,which amounted for 9.64%,57.83%,32.53% respectively. Among these azaleas,there were eight varieties identified as excellent,such as Xunfeng,Shiyandujuan,Ruihuibishou, and others. They could be applied in landscape directly. There were 48 varieties such as Tianzhang,Shangzongzi and Duhezhichun could be used as supplementary materials in landscape,and they could be planted in suitable environment. The rest 27 varieites such as Zhaoying,Renshengzhihua and Dabei were not suitable in landscape.【Conclusion】 The combination of AHP and K-means clustering method can be used to effectively evaluate and classify the azaleas,and to effectively select the well-adapted and perfect ornamental objective ones for landscape application.
