- Title
ACCESS TO COURT RECORDS: THE SECRET TO OPEN JUSTICE.
- Authors
Yeo, Vanessa
- Abstract
The article examines the legal framework of the restrictions on non-party access to documents on the court records in Singapore. It compares the Singaporean framework with the access frameworks in Australia and Great Britain to determine the guiding principles to facilitate access reform. It looks at the different approaches to regulate public access to court records and suggests that open justice and freedom of information and expression may be the principles to balance justice administration.
