- Abstract
The article discusses ethical issues that mental health professionals must consider during high risks situations. Professional risks in psychological and counseling services increase with estimated malpractice suit ranging 0.5 percent to 2.0 percent. Risk management enables professionals to decrease probable risk of any suits against them. Three cases are cited which provide examples on higher liability risks for professionals.
