- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that investigates the amount of diminazene aceturate (DA) and adenosine uptake in wild-type and DA-resistant isolates of Babesia gibsoni. The study reveals that adenosine transporter in B. gibsoni is not involved in the mechanism of DA resistance. It states that DA is the first-line treatment of canine babesiosis but the development of DA-resistant pathogen has created difficulties in the treatment of diseases.
