The article offers updates on new drugs that received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA has approved the rotavirus vaccine Rotarix from GlaxoSmithKline for the prevention of rotavirus gastroenteritis in infants. The Olopatadine nasal spray from Alcon Laboratories Inc. was approved for the relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis. Orencia from Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. has been approved for the reduction of symptoms of polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).
