- Abstract
The Science Council demands that scientists publish their results under an open license (CC BY) to make them freely accessible to everyone. Unemployment among physics graduates has increased during the pandemic, with the unemployment rate rising slightly from 2.4% to 2.7%. Young chemists should take a leading role in implementing the United Nations' sustainability goals, but they do not feel adequately prepared for it. The US government under President Joe Biden is making it easier for students and graduates to stay in the US. Switzerland will no longer receive EU research funding as negotiations for research cooperation have failed. The number of employees with a degree in natural sciences has increased by 42% in the last ten years.
