- Abstract
Information about the events and topics discussed at the 2016 Severe Convection and Climate Workshop (SEVCON16) on March 9-10, 2016 is presented. The event focused on the drivers of year-to-year variations in severe thunderstorms over the U.S. and discussed the warming climate impact the risks associated with tornadoes and hail. The workshop brought together over 110 researchers from the academic, operational meteorology, and insurance sectors to discuss the impact of severe convective storms.
