- Abstract
Jacobsen mentions the difference between economics of gender and feminist economics, reveals the patriarchal origins of contemporary economic thought, and presents the history and intellectual roots of feminist economics that emerged in the 1970s and started to be more actively carried out in the 1990s. "Advanced Introduction to Feminist Economics" offers a profound source for readers who set out to learn more about feminist economics from various perspectives including but not limited to unpaid work, gender pay gap, and macroeconomics. In the chapter "Feminist labor economics", feminist economics' multidimensional consideration of gender pay gap as opposed to the standard economic model is elaborated.
