- Abstract
This section offers news briefs on government action plans geared toward children with special needs in Europe as of March 2010. In September 2009, the Scottish government introduced the Do the Right Thing plan designed to build on several activities to enhance children's rights in 21 areas of work. In August 2009, the Department for Children, Schools and Families of Great Britain proposed plans that will give legal powers to children with special needs. In England, new guidelines are launched to ensure that all new schools are subject to acoustic tests.
