- Abstract
The article focuses on the relationship between humor at workplace and organizational performance. Noting that such organizations as Southwest Airlines, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, and Sun Microsystems credit their success, in part, to cultures that readily embrace humor, researchers Bruce Avolio, of the State University of New York at Binghamton, Jane Howell, of the University of Western Ontario, and John Sosik, of Pennsylvania State University, assessed the impact of leaders' use of humor on organizational performance. The results of their research are described.
