- Abstract
The fate of Nogai Turks, once a brave and warrior some community, followed a darker path after when the Kirim Khanate was demolished. Following the dissolution of the Khanate, Nogai were forced to become subjects of Russia. Thus when Tsarist Russia and Ottomans fought each other, Nogai had their share from the suppression and violence by Tsarist Russia against their Muslim subjects. As a community which lived in proper climate and geographical conditions through their long history were forced to endure forced migration and to fight a battle for survival. And when Nogai opposed forced migration, Tsarite government mobilized its organized army against the Nogai and attempted mass annihilation. This operation was lead by A. V. Suvorov, who was called a hero of the Russian states at all times. Today, only a small and broken community of Nogai people survived from once mighty Nogai Orda.
