- Abstract
This qualitative research article analyzes academic persistence in university students and how emotional self-efficacy manifests in this process. The study was conducted with seven university students from Santa Marta, Colombia, through semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis. The results show that emotional self-efficacy manifests in students through self-determination, self-confidence, optimism, self-affirmation, and perseverance. The study seeks to understand the factors that contribute to academic persistence in higher education.
