- Abstract
The article presents a study on the occurrence of "black mildew" fungus on a plantation of Santalum Album sandal wood trees in Kerala, India. The study conducted various methods including collection of seeds, using Mimosa pudica as host plants, and pretreating the pits with Carbofuran. The study found out that the black mildew is an Asterina congesta Cooke fungus, and affects the chlorophyll production of the plant.
