- Abstract
The article discusses a study which pointed out the lack of guidelines on how to integrate the consumer culture theory (CCT) with a phenomenological consumer focus. The results are presented at the 44th annual conference of the Association for Consumer Research (ACR) held in Chicago, Illinois from October 3-6, 2013. Topics discussed include the frameworks used to explain market dynamics, the consumption field refinement (CFR) framework aimed at conceptualising the market systems development on a meso-level, how consumers, companies or brand managers and media fit into the CFR framework, firm and brand owners as entities in the market subsystem and definition of the consumption field.
