The article discusses the author's views on the failure of teaching English composition in American schools. He explains the elements of postmodern decay while citing the personalities that contribute organizational strategies in building better English writing skills such as classic professors Don Rosenthal and Jack Zacker. The article outlines the devolution from teaching English writing to compositionism that directs American literature back to good grammar.
